Today elementary students are celebrating International Dot Day! Dot Day is inspired by Peter H. Reynolds' book "The Dot" and is focused on encouraging people all around the world to trust in their abilities and share their creativity with others.
This week at Roundup, students have read stories and discussed how things don't have to be perfect- it's ok if they're "ish" and that sometimes thinking outside the box is what gets us the most amazing results!
The students pictures celebrated today by wearing dots somewhere on their clothes!

CHARGE Students and Mentors of the month enjoyed lunch and brownies together today!

EFPS completed a random drug search this morning with support from the Frontier County Sheriff's Office and the Nebraska State Patrol with two of their canines.
A huge thank you to these departments for helping us to ensure that our school is safe and drug free.
We are also thankful for great students and that the canines were unable to locate any substances on our campus.
We are looking forward to continued partnerships and collaborations to create the safest campus possible.

August/September Notes For Families:

Due to EF hosting a football game at 3:00 PM, there will be a 1:30 PM dismissal on September 22nd to ensure all students can safely leave school before game traffic begins to arrive.

On Friday, students and staff voted to elect Student Council representatives. This year our council is comprised of class elected presidents and school elected representatives. The school elected candidates all created great campaign posters!
These students have great ideas regarding how to improve our school even further this year. We're excited to see what they accomplish!
Not pictured: 7th and 8th grade class presidents.

Our first home game of the season is tomorrow! We are so excited to have everyone come out to cheer on the Bulls, but please review the Student Fan Expectations with your children before attending!

Hi-Line and EF gear is available through the Boosters again this year. Please see the order form below!

Calling all community members! We are currently seeking individuals who may be interested in serving on an Advisory Committee for our incoming preschool program. These individuals can be parents, grandparents, involved community members, childcare providers, community coaches, etc. If you have a desire to have an impact on the system of Early Childhood Education at EF- we want your input. We would like to have approximately 8 individuals on the committee. Please email taylor.jenner@efknights.org if you are interested!

The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy holds an annual contest in which students grades k-12 are encouraged to create an art piece for their calendar. This year's theme was "Don't Waste It!."
